My name is Chen-Yu Hsu. I am currently applying to the Ph.D. program in EE/CS/ECE. I received my B.S. from Department of Electrical Engineering, National Taiwan University 
in June 2013 with highest honor. I received the NTU Presidential Award for top 5% students three times in 2010 and 2012, the Irving T. Ho Memorial Scholarship in 2011 and 2012, the Pan Wen-Yuan Scholarship in 2012, and the Outstanding Engineering Student Scholarship from the Chinese Institute of Engineers in 2013. In addition, I received the Silver Medal Award from Ministry of Education for outstanding research performance in 2011 and the Undergraduate Research Participation Program Fellowship and the College Student Research Creativity Award from National Science Council in 2012 and 2013, respectively. I also received several awards from engineering contests, including the International Champion of the Altera Innovate Asia FPGA Design Contest in 2012. I have published two conference papers in my senior year. One invited journal paper and the third conference paper are currently under review, with another paper to be submitted in the near future.

My research interests are signal/multimedia processing, computer vision/graphics, communication and wireless networking. With the solid research training I have received, I am ready to explore new areas as well.
